What Is Living Legacy Aftercare™?
Living Legacy Aftercare™ is a memorial giving program created by Compassionate Pet Transport®. Rather than asking families to donate during a time of loss, we have built giving directly into the way we operate.
For every pet entrusted to our care, we extend meaningful support to animals in need through:
- Shelter meals and daily care
- Medical assistance and recovery support
- Rescue transport to safety
- Emergency and hospice support for vulnerable animals
This is the heart of Living Legacy Aftercare™ and the promise we make to every family we serve.
A Gentle Extension of Your Pet’s Love
Your pet’s life was defined by love, devotion, and the quiet moments you shared together. Living Legacy Aftercare™ ensures that this love does not end at loss—it continues forward as a gift to another life.
Families may receive a Living Legacy card when their pet’s ashes are returned, honoring the impact that has been made in their pet’s name. Some families choose to keep this card by the urn or inside a memory box as a quiet reminder that their companion’s story is still helping others.
How the Living Legacy Program Works
Living Legacy Aftercare™ is intentionally simple for families. There are no extra decisions to make and no additional cost. Your pet’s legacy is created quietly, respectfully, and automatically through our internal giving process.
When your family chooses Compassionate Pet Transport® for aftercare, you are choosing dignified, respectful handling from the very first moment. Every pet we transport and serve is eligible for Living Legacy Aftercare™.
Behind the scenes, our team allocates support through Living Legacy Aftercare™. There is no additional action required from your family—this is a commitment we make as part of our mission, not an upsell or donation request.
Through verified rescue, shelter, and welfare partners, assistance is extended to an animal in need. This may include food, medical care, transport, or other essential support given in honor of your pet’s memory.
A Living Legacy Aftercare™ card may be included when your pet’s ashes are returned, acknowledging the support extended in their name. Some families choose to request an optional Certificate of Living Legacy as a keepsake.
Living Legacy Aftercare™ is not something you need to add at checkout. It is woven into the way Compassionate Pet Transport® operates every day, so that every pet we serve helps another animal in need.
